Crossing of currents the island keeps forming
Forming the legend of dangerous shoals
Shoals that keep thousands of laughing grey seals
Sealed in their fortress of secrets and fog
Fogbound for months ‘tween surges and storms
Storms that brought wreckage and ghosts of an age
Ageless remnants of lighthouse and grave
Gravely I pray that this island won’t change
